Im getting a slight tail drift on my 550 with the latest 3g software installed. Tail is drifting right, nose left. Should I change my mechanical setup, or is there something I can dial in, in the software. Or last option should I just give it a few clicks of trim in the radio.

The 3.0 requires more gain, maybe even more rudder gain comp in the software. It doesn't hurt to check it in RM for a mechanical issue to make sure that's ok. go back to basics with the 3.0, drift more gain , wag lower gain

OK thanks, Ill start by tweaking the gain a little tomorrow. And take it from there, I did bump my gain a few clicks when I DL'ed the v 3.0, maybe just not enough.

Good HH gyros or FBL systems should never need to be trimmed to hold the tail.

I agree, you probably need to increase gain or maybe even tail authority if you're running a low headspeed.

Its not my headspeed, only fly in idle 2 with 100% flat throttle. Im going to try to get out to the field today, but the weather may not cooperate with me. Ill keep you guys updated, Thanks

I had to up the rudder gain comp to 80 and lower the lock to 50 on mine and that get the TX gain up to 30 using endpoints
