So what did the ready to fly weight actually end up as ?
Are you running the stock 6s setup (around 2200 watts) ?
Mikado is supposed to be coming out with a version of the v-bar that doesn't have the air speed pressure sensors to cut retail costs of the unit. I'm in line for one for sure.

Losing the flybar would probably help with weight too ;)
a Flybarless system would save SOOO much weight it seems like a great way to go to me.

Thanks for all the info Eric! Just one question: In your list you mention canopy and skids... you didn't fly without them, did you? I assume your 6lb 1.5oz weight includes at least the skids. :)

So far I have been able to get the weight with batt down to 6lbs, 1.5oz!!!!

He added stuff back on, and I'm presuming that weight is without the canopy. I'm interested in an actual ready to fly, in a "I'm about to 3d the snot out of it" configuration, weight.

I did fly it at 6lbs 1.5oz.
This was without the canopy and without the landing skids. I still had the set of white gear on, just had to be very careful while landing

So whats lighter, the tail pushrod or the 3ft servo extention you need now ?

Yup 6s power system. FP 4900 with 600XL and 75esc.
I actually did not need a servo extention. The length from the gyro and out of the servo was enough. I suppose that his means you could also do some wire shortening for weight saving if you did not move the servo out to the tail.
Peace,
Eric

Why not just use CF as a pushrod? That would save even more weight and prevent the bird from going tail heavy.

That's what I did. Never even installed the stock wire, just went right to the CF arrow shaft.

What about ditching the AR7000 for the AR6100 or possibly losing the RX's casing and heat shrinking it?
I realize the 6100 has a smaller signal, but if you're all about shedding grams...
