Hello,

Having swift, I want to try AP. The only problem is I have Z30 1100 motor in it and I have 7s emoli batteries. Even with 9T pinion, my headspeed is way too big.

Anyone know where I can get 8T pinion? Or if I`ll change to 5 or 6s emoli - will my flight times increase? Now they are 4.5-5 min. only.

I've been out of this for several months but starting to ramp back up. The Swift I used had the 600 motor (about 715 rpm/volt) along with 7s emoli's and flew great on a 9 tooth. I typically got around 7 minutes flight time at 7.3lbs with new emoli's. Maybe switching motors to get the rpm's down will do the trick?

I've been curious about trying a Z50-800 on a Swift. Should get the right head speed with 7s emoli's.

I finally got my swift in the air, and am running 7s emolis on a z30-800. I get about 6:00 min of flight time. needs to be on the ground by 6:30. I added a Canon A-640 with a small home mead mount with no noticeable difference in the flight time. No professional mount on it yet though.

Andrew,

You snapping shots yet? Whistler? You have mountains for scenery right? How about some posts in the daily pic thread?

Coming soon,

The Swift is in pieces as I install the AP2000 that just arrived, and my down link stuff. on my first flight with the camera, I got so excited I forgot to charge the camera batteries, so I have 1 shot, a self portrait of me standing on the lake, an then the camera died.

I will post in a day or two, I have been busy buying a house, so helis have been grounded for a week or so.

Started flying my swift AP.

Setup is 8s A123 (for know, Z30A 800 is on the way), Z30 1100 motor, 9T, CC45HV.

AUW is 3.7 kg....

Trying to find best solution for current setup. Looks like headspeed should be somethere around 1800-1900. Mine is 2100. Andthat is in gov mode, while throttle curve is set flat on 60%. That is a little bit strange.

How can I reduce HS? CC45 is set to gov mode, gov high, gov gain - high.

any suggestions?

Here's your pinion ! Don't govern down your ESC so much. You ought to be up nearer 90% or you'll get a lot of heat. If you were at 2100 this will get you down around 1950.

Al. Hacking my own driven tail Swift. Radio going in now. AP 2000i,Evo 9 ch,100mw downlink,Exilim 7.2 MP, My kinda fun!
