Rebuild has one on his heli and seems to like it, I've bought one and am working on setting it up.

I haven't even opened the instructions so I have no clue if they are right or wrong. the basic design is nearly identical to the stock CP Pro, so between using that as a guid, and following the Finlees videos:

CCPM Setup Part 1 (58 Megs)

CCPM Setup Part 2 (58 Megs)

the videos are for a different heli, but the princiles are esxactly the same.

The biggest challenge will be that you can't compensate for things with your radio, you have to have it dialed in mechanically.

I was planning on doing a quick video showing where I am in the setup so I could get some input, so if I do, I'll link to it here, so you can see what I've done, and when people comment, you can see what I've done wrong...

I left my receiver battery at home, so I may not be able to do it today...

OK, I lied... turns out I HAD my Rx battery. (also I figured a work around using a spare 3 in 1 as a BEC...

I've uploaded this video to putfile at 9pm eastern, and it will take a while to do their conversion thingie, but it should be ready by 11pm EDT.

Oh, one thing about putfile: if it won't let you watch it as is, click to download it. And, ususally, you have to click several pages to actually download it. Don't know why, but that's the way it is.

The video clip is about 3 minutes but over 50 MB  (sorry, that's the best I can do: with LP video, 4:3 and MPG2 compression)

Say-Wheat !!! Thats an awesome looking Blade Hybrid you have going there. Love the videos. I wish more people would do them. Heck (PG edit) I wish I had a video cam. At least I could show people what not to do LOL.

Video worked fine for me. Started almost immediately after I clicked the link.

Again, major Kudos for the video and the great Hybrid Blade !!

You might want to make one of these swash driver thingies though! The head I have had lots of angular/rotational play between the flybar frame and the swash that made it unflyable till I made up this widget. (if we are talking about the same head)

This is the microheli head.

I have a HDX head, but I'm working on returning it.

I was thinking of just exchaning it, but seeing what you had to make to get it work, I'm not so sure now!

This works pretty good, slkrx, if you want to go to the trouble of making the thing. I know of a couple other flyers using this device and I haven't heard any negative feedback on it yet. There are better ways to do this I'm sure but this junk box version seems to do the trick. To some extent, I think it is poor design in all of these heads using the blade holders as a fulcrum to push the swash around. You will always get some slop and have interaction between parts moving in different directions. It's just that the HDX head happens to be the sloppiest in this area. These heads, including the plastic ones, should all have all been designed with some type of washout device that drives the swash directly from the main shaft in the first place. (IMHO)
