Can anyone tell me how the cooling duct is supposed to fit in the plywood base, mechanics and fuselage?
I have the hole cut out in the ply base. This is a different diameter to the fibre glass cooling duct supplied.
Does the diameter of the hole in the ply need increasing to the same diameter as the duct?
It is also a bit difficult to see how everything butts together.
The circular opening in the base of the mechanics also does not evenly sit around the hole in the plywood either with the mech bolted through the pre drilled holes.
It is like the diameter is wrong but I don`t know.

THE HOLE IN THE FUSE IS 1/4" SMALLER IN DIAMETER. THE TUBE MUST SIT FLUSH AGAINST THE BOTTOM FIBERGLASS. YOU'LL HAVE TO MARK THE TUBE WHILE INSERTING IT. YOU MUST THEN CAREFULLY GRIND (MICRO-MARK) SLOWLY UNTIL IT SEATS FLUSH. DO NOT REMOVE THE SEAM LINES ON THE BOTTOM. MEASURE THE I.D. OF THE TUBE AND SUBTRACT 1/4" ALL AROUND. TAKE A BRIGHT FLASHLIGHT AND SHINE IT THROUGH THE TUBE LOOKING AT IT FROM THE THE BOTTOM AND MARK THE EXTREAM LENGTH RUNNING THE LENGHT OF THE SEAM. TAKE A BOW COMPASS, EXTEND IT TO YOUR LINES THEN SCREW IT IN 1/4" AND DRAW YOUR CIRCLE. TAKE A MINATURE JIGSAW MICRO MARK) AND CUT YOUR HOLE. FINE BLADES ONLY WORK. 413-733-3377 MAC
