View Full Version : How to store LiPo's?
Ok so as this is my first foray into LiPo batteries... can anyone tell me at what state is best to store them?
So lets say I am finished flying for the day (3S 2100) and I am not going to be flying again until next weekend. Should I store the pack at what? 50% charge?

it really depends on how long you expect to store them. As they come with a full charge, and it's impossible to determine how long they will be on a shelf, they should be fine stored at full charge for a few day to a week without issue.
Anything longer than a month, I'd discharge about 1/2, tape over the connector and put em up.

Every pack I have checked new came with a 50% charge (3.8 - 3.85 volts per cell).
And that is the long term storage recommendation I have seen in several places.
I am with Wyane though, up to about a month, I just charge them up. Over a month I try to get them to down to 50%.
