the shuttle oneway bearing is pressed into the clutch itself. If you have an arbor press, you
stand a good chance of getting it out and pressing in a new one although really, 99% of all users
just buy a new clutch w/ pre-installed bearing.

Like Z said, its easier just to replace the clutch.

I have used a trex one way and tool to change out the clutch one-wy at the field. We used Rotorworks one way puller and it worked like a charm. A vice and a socket or a drill press should work fine too. An arbor press will work but it is overkill.

No. THe Sceadu clutch is larger (I think), so unless you had a bushing machined I don't know how you could fill the gap.

i was going to use standard clutch and starting shaft
lathe an insert to take up the gap where the bearing was but not sure if it would work as i believe that sceadu has a bearing in the clutch bell

I'm trying to understand why you are going through this effort instead of just using the
system w/ oneway as designed?
It's worked quite well for 15+ years for MANY Shuttles.

I always had trouble with mine. Something about clutch dust and one ways don't get along. It would slip when you least expected it. I would say he wants to mod it for the same reason Hirobo changed the design with the Sceadu. Just one less thing to fail at the field.
Yes the Seadu does have a bearing in the clutch. Even with the problems I had I would not have changed the design. I knoe it is a PIA to change but just bring a spare one way to the field and you should be all set. BTW... Trex one ways work. I am not sure of the quality as compaqred to a Hirobo one way but they are sure to be cheaper and easier to get.
