I have a Shogun V2 with a Hacker A20-6XL and Hacker 30A Pro ESC. My gyro is a GY401, and my RX is a Berg 7. As I bring the main rotor to speed, my tail kicks around a LOT from about quarter stick until just above half stick. At a little about half stick, the heli is very light on the skids and wandering around, but with a locked tail. It transitions into a hover fine and continues to hold the tail well.

But that just does not seem right, to have a lot of kicking around to begin with. I have my ESC to Motor wires braided to help reduce noise, and my tail belt is not too loose. I really don't know what to do. I assume this is a glitching issue, as the tail holds fine at higher throttle positions, indicating to me its not a belt issue...right? No other channels appear to glitch (aileron, elevator, throttle or pitch).

Should I try a ferrite ring? What should I wrap around it... the ESC or the gyro wires? I assume the ESC, but if anyone has a good experience using it on a gyro, please let me know.

Also, on a side note. Anyone else here run the Hacker 30A Pro ESC? When I use it, it does not kick in power until about 5-10% of throttle stick is put in...which means you loose the top 5-10% of power at full stick. The only way I seem to be able to get around this is to use subtrim before plugging in the heli, and setting -15%. Then after I plug the heli in, I reset subtrim to 0%, and then throttle kicks in on the first or second notch on the throttle stick like it should. This is pissing me off...

Any help appreciated,

I have a Shogun V2 as well, but don't have the same tail problem - however I can ofer some suggestions re the other bits ....

Ferrite ring on ESC cable - wrap 3 times around if poss.
On some ESC's you can set the throttle stick positions - check that you can't do this with yours. Also I set the throttle curve on my Tx - can you not do this ? you could then set 85% or 90% (or 100%) throttle at anything above half stick
