Just finished converting to a 4s, I'm gonna test fly during morning.
but i just want to ask, what do you guys set your yge esc ? the same setting as the stock ?
i don't know if i do need to change some of the settings. so far the only setting that i change is the number of cells from 3s to 4s.
do i need to change the cut off voltage ?
so far this is what i'm using
timing - auto timing
brake - off
cut off type - slow down
cut off volt - 2.4/3.1
cells - 4
freew on
gov on
start up - slow
pwm freq - 9kHz
startup - auto
thanks

Hey,
I didn't change anything, stock works just fine. Besides, I didn't get to buying the prog card and when I do, it will be to activate the gov store mode only :)
YGE will detect 4S pack, so listen for 4 beeps on startup and you're good to go.
Leave cutoff voltage as it is. Total cutoff voltage is counted for detected cell count, so unless your ESC has issues with cell detection, you'll be ok.
Didn't change a thing at all.
Just go fly it.

thanks guys. just came back from test flight. I simply love it !!
btw baui, yeah i do have the programming card, it won't hurt having one !! cheers
the only problem was, i noticed there was some ringing sound, I don't know where it comes from, will do inspection before flying again. but i'm guessing it has to do with the belt. do you guys have any idea on what do i need to check ?

I had a ringing sound under high loads also. I lowered the belt tension and re-adjusted the upper pinion support, and its gone now.

alrigth, i'll give it a try, i'll lowered a bit the belt tension for both sides and have a look at the upper pinion support, thanks for the tips !!

went for another flight session, I noticed that my motor is running slightly hotter compared to 3s setup. is that normal ? i heard from other pilots, they said that converting to a 4s, the motor runs way cooler then 3s. any other tips that i should look trough ?
