Hi, I have a Futaba S9650 that I plan to use in my Dragonus Elite. I have a Futaba 6EX FASST TX/RX. The newbie question is: Do i need another wiring than normal since it is a digital servo. At this site: http://www.trextuning.com/electrical-setup.php
I get the impression that I need the "advanced" setup if I have a digital servo. Is this correct? If so, what do I need to buy extra?

The only difference between the advanced setup and the basic. The advanced is using a BEC in the diagram.
The digital servo is not going to know if a BEC is in the circuit or not.

Just plug the servo into the gyro as you would with any other servo. If it is a Futaba gyro, be sure to set the gyro to DS mode.

Noob question: What's the benefit of having a digital servo for the rudder control?

In non digital mode the 401 updates the servo postion at 70 frames per second (or so) which is what a reciver puts out.

If you are running a digital servo and set DS mode on the gyro updates the servo at 270 frames per second!
