Hi,

I am looking for a good (and inexpensive) intro RTF heli.

I found one that sounds good...the
Ikarus G2 Carboon

It comes with flight simulation software, and sounds like a good intro package. Here is one vendor's site that tells about it:

Any one have any experience/comments on this model?

Thanks,

David

It is a Walkera #4, aka EF Sabre, aka Exceed Falcon 40.

My son and I both have EF Sabres. Very inexpensive and pretty tough in terms of withstanding crash damage. Not nearly as easy to fly as a collective machine. Radio qualitiy is so-so.

Hobby People puts the Sabres on sale a few times a year for $99.00. Raidentech sells the Falcon 40 for around $100.00 also.

If you are serious and want to progress, I would suggest a good quality collective machine like a TREX. It will run you $800-$1000.00 set up first class, but will be easier to fly and you will not outgrow it. You will definitely want help setting it up and trimming it too.
