Hi,

My E325 is now up and hovering which is great!!!! Bit by bit I’ve been making improvement to the setup as I’ve read articles on RunRyder.

An area that still needs a bit of attention is the tail setup. The heli hovers nose right, tail left, even when I trim the rudder.

The tail is holding nice and steady without any wag or vibration after I reset the gyro and greased the tail mechanism.

Any ideas how I can solve the nose right problem?

Also, how do I go about setting the rudder endpoints. With the other servos I go into my Futaba FF7 endpoint menu and set them. I’ve read that I shouldn’t set endpoints with the rudder servo and a gyro, so how do I set it?

Not familar with the Airtrix gyro you have listed in your sig. It is a heading hold type gyro?

As for the rudder endpoints. You would adjust them in the Channel 4 ATV or EPA menu. If it is a heading hold type gyro, the rudder endpoints will control pirouette rate and not how far the servo travels.

As for the nose right problem. Need some more information. If using a heading hold gyro, sounds like you have something not set up correctly for the gyro.

Do you have all the rudder mixes INHIBITED in the transmitter?

DavidH,

Thanks for the reply, it is a HH gyro. Sorry, i'm not clear from your reply, how do I control servo travel?

Where do you set rudder mixes on the FF7  If they are set should I unset them ?

Cheers,

Peter

From looking at a picture I found of the gyro. It doesn't appear to have any pots that would be used to control servo travel. Looks like it only has dip switches.
So to control how far the pitch slider travels on the tail rotor. You will have to move the ball out more from center or inward more on the servo wheel/horn.
If you need more travel, move the ball outward to the edge of the wheel/horn. If you need less, then move it inward towards the center.

The rudder ATV/EPA will control the pirouette rate. To piro faster increase the ATV/EPA, for less piro speed, decrease the ATV/EPA on channel 4.

Here is the manual for the radio you have. Page 68 explains about the Revolution mixing and how to Inhibit it.
