Shawn - what pinion would be most appropriate for the 24-4 on 11S in the 6003D,
Also, do you think the 24-4 is the best all around motor for 11/12s? I am getting ready to pick a motor, esc, servos etc. in anticipation of getting the 6003D.
Thanks again for your help,
Jeff

Actro 24-4 on 10S = 18tooth Mod 0.7 155T Herringbone main
Actro 24-4 on 11S = 16tooth Mod 0.7 155T Herringbone main
Actro 24-4 on 12S = 15tooth Mod 0.7 155T Herringbone main
Now that all being said, if you want to run bigger main blades than 600mm, you should consider the Actro 32-3 Motor. The 32-3 motor likes blades in the 620+mm range to work properly. You would optimum want to run 12S with the 32-3 if you can but here are some numbers for 11 and 12S with it.
Actro 32-3 on 11S = 17tooth Mod 0.7 on 155T Mod 0.7 Herringbone main
Actro 32-3 on 12S = 16tooth Mod 0.7 on 155T Mod 0.7 Herringbone main
I hope that answers all your questions in this regard. Remember these are mathematical pinion sizes which should be close, but I certainly would buy a few up and down from what I mentioned. These suggestions were also based on a Headspeed of 2175-2200 on the head at 75% Governed with of course 25% headroom to work properly.

How about some numbers for the 24-3 folks
For 10S setup, 85% throttle level and Actro 24-3 motor, using 15T or 16T pinions give you approx. 2200-2300 RPM on main rotor.

How about some numbers for the 24-3 folks
Shouldnt you be telling us  . I read with a 24-3 that 14T was around the number, so i guess a 14 or 15 will rockon nicely. Got all my running gear ready in anticipation, just need the 600 now, come on Ralf :arggg:

Any other motors for 12S apart from Actro?
