I'm finishing up my new Raptor 50 Titan (9CAP, RD319, OS .50). I got the magnet installed and tested for the GV-1, then I sat down and read the rest of the manual. Wow, everything is really clear now! The guy who wrote that must have a background in law or quantum physics, as far as I'm concerned.

My questions are:

1. Can I set it up to use my normal idle up switch to switch to governed in idle up 1 and a higher head speed in idle up 2?

2. Is using mixture control easy to setup, or should I just hope to get the governor working and forget about it?

3. Is says not to use throttle curves, but shouldn't I have them in case of failure?

Thanks for any hints here. By the way, has Finless Bob ever done a video on this mysterious box?

1. Yes, set the normal switch position to something less than 1000 rpm and the gov wont engage, set the other 2 to the head speeds you want.

2. Dont bother

3. Yes but just basics 100, 75, 50, 75, 100 is fine for both idle ups.

You just happened to ask when I was cruising the forum.

The book for that governor makes it sound about 10x more complicated than it is.
