OK, the link wouldn't let me view the topic, so I registered over there, and it still won't let me view it??? :arggg: :arggg:

Is there some secret handshake to view this? I tried searching and couldn't find it... what forum section is this in?

Mike may have jumped the gun in posting that. I would think Horizon wanted to show the radios and release information at Toledo trade show that starts tomorrow.

It amazes me that people want to buy a radio just because of the physical looks of it. Does it not interest you what features might or might not be in the programming?

Ah so I guess they made these new ones where you can assign any switch to any function or vice versa? :lolol

I am a big JR fan and currently own a 9X and 10X (aero version). I think the 12x looks ace

It's nice to see that their new flagship transmitter now caters for both fixed wing and helis as it was a bit of a con paying all the money for the 10x and it only doing the one discipline. But it is a massive shame that they appear to have ditched their touch screen for the 12X, why have they chosen to do this? :(

I also note that they have decided to make the 9X either fixed wing or heli specific.

I also am a bit surprised they have not got a 14 channel version with a nice colour screen to rival Futaba 14MZ, or is there something in the pipeline?

I've never understood the part about the 10X only being a one discipline radio either. Does JR not realize that some people can actually do both? If they decide to make the 9 series like this I think they will lose a lot of customers.

As for the touch screen thing, I prefer not to have it just like the Futaba 12 series. In fact, that's one of the nice things I like about my 12 over the 14.

I would think that just relates to switch locations and no ratchet on the throttle.

Still 3 different types of aircraft modes in the 9 channel version.

I personally L-O-V-E the scrolling selector on my 9303 and I cannot wait to get a 12X as my primary radio. The touchscreen method always appeared more expensive an option to repair/replace...but I could be wrong.

Anyway, they really got me when they put both programming in one TX as well...and yeah, and the spectrum thing is icing!
