How old is it?
What can you tell me about these?
It has an 8 mm mainshaft. It's mt brothers heli and we're going to set it up as a heli to goof around with. It now has a TT engine (.36?) Going to put a GY-240 on it.
Thanks for your help, Alan

That would be a Hawk 3 as I think the 4 had 10mm main shaft. That fuel tank is not stock as Im sure you are aware of. Man that thing has been in with the pool chemicals I take it. Thats why mine rust up like that in about 7 days.

Thanks, yep...it looks kinda cruddy!
Everything's pretty smooth on it though.
We're going to put it in the air in a few weeks.

Yes, it is even an earlier version then the Hawk III.
It is the Hawk or Hawk II as it still has the ALL plastic swashplate, small fuel tank and the cyclic arms etc. that still had molded ball joints on their ends.

I guess we're not going to put it in the air afterall. I let my son fly my Stinger 50 and he did so well that I gave him my Trex 600! I won another Trex 600 and I'm going to build it full tilt for him. He started 3D flight on his first flight with the Stinger 50, so no looking back now. :D

Looks to me like it might even be a Helicat. The Helicat was distributed by World Models and they sold the Helicat. The Hawk came from the Helicat after Century got the rights to it back in the early 90's. The airplane prop nut for a starter extension is neat. If the start shaft did not dis engage once started. That nut spinning at 16K rpm would create all sorts of problems. LOL
