I did some flying last night with in idle up mode. Dang. very nice experience for a noob like myself. My CPP was very snappy. Adds another deminsion to the thing.

does idle up change the right stick controls ? i always thought it only changed the left stick.

Idle up flattens the throttle curve. Giving you full constant head speed throughout the throttle range. It also enables a pitch curve that allows revers pitch below midstick for quick decents or inverted flying. So never start or land in idle up. Attain a good hover when you switch it on or off.

Turn your idle up knob all the way up for a flat 100% curve. You'll need every bit of power if you are using the stock motor. I run 100% flat on my Blade's brushless setup too.

Holy crap! I have never tried idle up with that knob at 100%. I set it at 50% a long time ago because I had accidently flipped into idle up mode once. Not pretty. Anyway. Geez, talk about snappy. All this time I thought is was the mods I have donekeeping it down lol. :arggg:

What I do use use stunt 1 to ramp up to stunt 2. So curve gets higher and higher per mode.

I thought the knob was gyro gain. It has a knob for throttle?

The remote that came with the Pro has an Idle up knob and a gyro gain knob... I'm not sure if the original CPs have both.

I forgot about the knob too and tried my first flip ever when my idle up knob was set at 50% on my Blade with the stock motor.... lets just say it didn't turn out well :arggg:

So never start or land in idle up. Attain a good hover when you switch it on or off.

Never plug the battery in or spin up in Idle up, but once you get to mid stick you can switch to Idle and and fly entirely in the mode, from take off to touchdown.

In larger helis some people set a Normal pitch curve of 0 pitch across the stick travel just to make sure they don't take off in Normal.

ONce you get flying, Normal is for spool up only.

The Blade CP tx doesn't have an Idle up or Gyro knob. So what raneg of the idle up idle up throttle curve gets adjusted? The center or the entire curve if it is flat.

The CPP TX does. All I know is the idle up knob sets from 0-100%

The cp stock transmitter does not have an idle up knob nor does it have a CH5 ( Gyro Gain) knob. The CPPro transmitter has the knobs, along with the same switches ( Idle up and trainer) as the CP transmitter. On the CPPro TX the knob adjusts how much throttle is given when the idle up switch is On, it is a flat throttle curve.

The original CP transmitter has a toggle on the top for idle up. It works just fine.
