Hi guys
just a quick question, when fuling up for the first flight of a session I seem to get a small amount of fule leaking from the under side of the engine, I have checked and everything is tight and there is no cracks, or splits in the fule line but all is good, after the first flight I dont get this problem and it is not causing any lose of power..
Any thoughts would be greatfull as it is worrying me, is this normal??
thanks

Thinking about it
I know that fule is going to be pushed into the engine whilst using the pump to fule up, but should any leak out??
that is my real question??
: The engine is going to be cold and hasn't expanded due to the heat from the first flight, after which the engine is up to temp and has expanded hence no leakage on further flights:
Thanks for your thoughts..

Wait, you're....letting the fuel go into the carb when you're filling the tank? If you are, you shouldn't.

Clip the fuel line closed to the carb while your fueling your ship. I would guess its dumping out of the carb.

Also, check the fittings on the main and header tank. I recently replaced my header tank which was leaking, and the fuel was running down and dripping off the engine.

Hi guys
I must retract a one of my previous statments, when i'm fueling up I remove the fuel line to the carb and fill the tank that way, so fuel is not pushed into the engine..
The leak starts to happen after I have refitted the fuel line back to the carb, looks like the leak is comming off the back of the engine where the crank cover is
(when mounted in the heli it faces out the bottom of the heli)
Will have to double check everything, am thinking that maybe I didnt refit the cover properly after locking it out to tighten down the fan.. will check

Hi guys
thought I would just conclude my post, I discovered what the probleam was, the head on the hyper ha worked loose, hece the fule leak, was only yesterday i solved it when the heli ha a sudden drop in power..
All fixed now , was an engine out job, the onl thing was I broke the gasket between the engine and the exahust, I did try to salvage it but had bad throt response and made a horrid sound when I flew it , I called the local shop and they said that it is best to use a thin layer of apoxy instead, I wasnt to sure bout this maybe another post, but did it never the less, will be of to fly first thing see how it goes...
