Help for ICE 75
After letting the blue smoke out of my stock Align ESC, I bought an ICE 75, two questions on the bench fellas:
1) I can't recall if Align ESC soft-starts again after first the spool up. I mean if I go all the way down on thr ICE 75 always soft starts. I reckon I used to go all the way down sometimes in flight (normal mode)!? Was headspeed keeping the blades turning, or Align wasn't soft-starting during flight?? 2) When I go near full thr motor (Align 500L) passes a significant "notch", I mean it is not a gradual, smooth increase to full thr. Is this normal? 100-90-100 curve fells like just two speed, not smooth. thanks. |

have you used the castle link? and set the esc up in heli mode with fixed endpoints on throttle? if not it is running in default airplane mode where is is sensing throttle so i could imagine it would not be smooth.

Yes, I have used the castle link, programmed all settings for the heli (not using the governer yet), and set the end points on my TX to match fixed points..

Yes. My throw is maximum also (%150 on A9), end points was about 95 to 83 (add two clicks more as suggested on CC youtube video too).

The CC will start all over every time you remove throttle completely.
However I recommend to program the throttle hold funktion, so that you can bail out of an auto without having to spool slowly up (not good, crash..). Read the manual. Everything is explained there. I want an Ice 75 for my 500 too.... |

what pwm and timing settings are you running? also the manual doesnt explain everything because most of the heli settings are only avaliable in castle link but using bail out mode is nice you just have to go through and redo your endpoints and adjust your throttle hold position.
