Will keep a eye on the release of the test of the Kokam.
Great they put the (independent) test results on the product pages.
Thanks for the link.

21 cycles on the battery so far draining it to almost 6 volts on every flight and its still going strong. More info to come...

I got a 2s pack which Ive been punishing with the CBA, will be posting full results later, but ive pushed the battery for a full 25C run, down to 2.25v per cell cutoff, and it still going strong.

This seems to be the real deal!
VERY nice to see lipo technology going forward.

I just got one of these and I plan to start some intensive testing next week. It appears to be nice, came packed well. I will be doing video flight tests where I fly it until nothing is left at all, of course these will be timed and posted for your viewing pleasure :glasses2: stay tuned, im very excited about these batteries.

Why are you testing? Just fly and have fun, dont beat up the battery. I got mine for free to beat up and test, it just takes time to get allot of cycles through it for some results. I have 38 cycles on mine so far draining it to less than 2 volts per cell every flight. I will post some more Eagle tree data on the 50th flight. I am very happy with this battery so far and I cant wait to get the 5000mah for my 600...

Is that a comment for me?

Tests is the real way to see exactly if it can take it for real or not, since when flying you wont see 0.1v less here and there, specially if it happens slow over time.
(plus, if results are Ok, I will probably get many 5000 pack for my E-stratus/ion)

Im testing the battery pretty hard with positive results, I just dont want you to have to kill your battery needlessly. If there is a test that you want me to do with the battery let me know and ill do it. I would rather it happen to the test battery rather than you beating up a battery that you paid for...

?? What I do with my battery is up to me.

I testing because I like to, and want to present a normal 1C, 5C, 10C, 15C, 20C, 25C discharge graph so anyone can compare it to flightpower & tp for sample.

Ever seen battery vault over at rcgroups?

I'm not trying to tell you what to do, I was just making a suggestion. Do what you want...

Also I am very familiar with the battery vault @ RC Groups I just wanted to get all my testing completed before I posted

How is it going with testing of this new batterie?? :glasses2:
Are thay still holding up? :bomb:

Holding up great They are beating TP 2200x and FP's new 25C pack and im not discharging those packs down to 2 volts per sell like I am the AirThunder packs.

What kind of balance tabs do they use

I have one of these batteries as well, and after some delays in my using it, (my fault) I finally had my first test flight today, I am VERY impressed, it had lots of power and I am not kidding I flew around 8 minutes on a 430l motor with a 13 tooth pinion on my trex 450. The pack isnt meant to be flown until it reaches 0 volts every time, however it can safely go to about 2 volts per cell. I flew it until the helicopter didnt have enough lift to hover, I didnt have a camera person so its not on film, I will make another showing its flight. the battery seemed to stay very consistent with the power right up to the end, when it lost its power. after my flight the battery had NO puffing and was not hot, rather it was just warm to the touch. I have yet to try this battery with much 3d, all i did was some hopping in the air of the bird, however it was very responsive. my initial impression is outstanding, simply because I can fly with great power right till I feel the battery start to go, then land, recharge and go with no damage to the pack. I am sold on this. -Mike

Now if somebody could combine this with the 2C allowable charge rate of the Flight Power, they'd have the perfect pack.

Well i am not at all recommending this but I have a friend of mine who charges his AirThunder pack at 2.5C with no Ill effects at all, he just uses a balancer every charge. I have almost 50 cycles on my test pack and it is still going strong, I am pretty impressed so far by its performance.

Hmm, I just thought of one other thing. How low can you go on this battery and have various chargers still initiate a charge? I have the Common Sense R/C (really a DN charger) and more importantly, the Cellpro 4s (4A version).

For what it's worth I fly A123 packs, and fly until they will no longer keep the heli aloft. I don't recall what the exact voltage is at that point, but my TP 1010 charger has no problems with it. So I would think in many cases you'll have to land before the voltage gets low enough to bother the charger. That's my personal experience, anyway.

is there any more info on these packs

Martianpc

I use a DN charger and I have flown this pack into the range of not barely spinning the blades anymore (no lift at all) and the charge shows an L saying its too low of voltage for the pack, but charges it right up no problems what so ever. My flight times rock on it, ive finally started to do some 3d with the thing. I didnt notice any problems at all. I didnt do much that is extreme, but did some flips, rolls, inverted hovers and climbs, it took it all and performed perfectly, afterwards, wasnt even hot. this thing kicks tail.
