Just ordered mine.
Can you charge them at more than 1C....or not recommended?

Can be charged with 10C. Charge with balance port is recommand only. Need to check wether balancer's wire can withstand 10C charge or not.
Bare cell can be chraged with 10C.

I assume by 10C you actually mean 10A. The brochure that came with my 6S 5000mAh says:
Maximum charge current is 3C
Now where's a 15A charger? ;)

2200 mAh 10C is 22A, this battery was charged with 22A.

I'm confused. Are you really charging it with over 3 times the recommended charging amps? I'm just surprised you aren't following the manufacturer's recommendations. Are you the manufacturer?
What balancing charger is there that supplies 22A?

10C charging of a lipo has never been heard of before AFAIK. So you are saying those curves are for 10C charge/10C discharge for 100 cycles on a single AirThunder 2200mAh cell ? Or were you testing an A123 (LiFe) cell ?
If those test results are for a single AirThunder cell then they are impressive but not necessarily applicable to a pack where inner cell temps and cell imbalance become critical issues which get more acute with higher charge rates.
IMO charging any multi-cell lipo battery above 1C without at least per-cell monitoring with auto-cutoff should any cell go over 4.20V is asking for trouble.
It is also worth noting that you do not cut charge time by much going above 3C since you simply drive into the CV region sooner where charge current quickly drops off. Consider that the curves show that charging at 10C took about 17min, almost 3 times the nominal 6min you might expect.
Now where is a 15A charger?
Actually the problem is more the 15A balancer. If you had a 15A charge through balancer with automatic cell-over-voltage charge cutoff then you could use a CCCV bench supply like the examples below:
Mastech HY3010E-3 Dual 30V/10A - charge two 6s lipo packs at once or a single 12s pack at up to 10A (USD$278 + shipping)
http://cgi.ebay.com/MASTECH-TRIPLE-DC-LAB-POWER-SUPPLY-0-30-V-0-10A_W0QQitemZ120141377186QQihZ002QQcategoryZ32720Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Mastech HY5020E, Single 50V/20A - charge a single lipo pack up to 12s at up to 20A (USD$258)
http://shop.vendio.com/Evan2002/item/818330695/?s=1184234402
NOTE it would be very dangerous to use CCCV power supplies to charge lipos without a reliable balancer with a per-cell over-voltage charge cutoff feature.

Does A123's battery has such high discharge voltage??
It is AirThunder's sibgle battery, I just happen to have chanced to test it.
95% capacity was charged within 7 min. I think the manufacture still wondering how to make a charger with 10C.

Good point, you are right it doesn't

10C this is what electrics need. A safe setup that is capable of recharging in 10-15 minutes. When this becomes common place I will be in hog-heaven. For now I'm a 1c guy. :?

My concern at 10C charge rate would be internal heat generated during the charge cycle damaging the membranes or substrates. I'm not certain if the paste is as sensitive to high temps or not.

Racer38 has to pack up his 600 and ship it home several weeks ago. Seems a couple ass-hat Majors thought it was unsafe.. In any case, he's back home on a 15 day leave right now and will have less than 60 days remaining on his tour when he gets back to the sandbox.
Regardless, after some of the pics we've seen and the stories I've heard chatting with him, I think a pack would be a nice "thank you" for what he's doing over there.

I just got 2 airthunder lipos, and I love them!!! I get about 10 min of hovering / ff on my t-rex 450S, 430L, 12T pinion, 35X (high timing), 401 / 9650, hs-65s... I have the soft cutoff set at 2.9V per cell... and when I feel it get low, I just bring her in. I think I put back 2075mAh on the last charge. I want about 10 more of them :)
I couldn't be happier with these lipos... assuming they'll stand the test of time... but they seem to, based on what I've seen of Air_Alpheus's testing and others'.

I have 105 cycles on them now, I will be posting my CBA results real soon. I just started school again so I am really busy. Please be patient with me. But my test results are very good, I am still putting in over 2000mah after every flight and my flights times are still the same as they where during the first 50 cycles. My Thunder Power Extremes started crapping out on me after 70 flights and thats following the 80% rule. My opinion is get the AirThunders, Thats my new battery of choice...

I just added the Air Thunders to my product line and flew it for the first time. Works as advertised. You maybe looking at what all lipo's at some point become. I'm very happy with them!

Guys, sorry to be a stick in the mud. But if the manf is only willing to warranty the packs for 90 days for ONLY MANF. DEFECTS and other reputable Manf. are willing to do 1 year PLUS a heavy discount if the pack is damaged in a crash, how confident can airthunder really be about their product?
Seems to me if they really felt confident that the packs were better they at a minimum match the warranty of their competition.
sometimes when something is too good to be true you have to be willing to find the catch.
Will these packs hold up to 300 cycles? Most of the packs I'm looking at will.
I'm not meaning to cause a stir.. just sharing my reaction to what i'm seeing. The packs appear to perform well. But if I damage one in a crash I'm out 100% of the cost of the pack. Other battery manf. cover you for a percentage up to 50% that I' know of.

The only one that I know of that offers the 50% off replacement is Flight Power. If I recall, please correct me if I am wrong, the 50% off is off of retail, not what they are sold for. The pricing of the Flight Power packs are MAP pricing which is not retail.
Flight Power packs are one of the best as well as one of the more expensive packs available as well. So the 50% off may not be that much less than an Air Thunder or other brand packs.
Has anyone taken advantage of the 50% off replacement?

Hi Jermo,
We will acommondate requests about crash-replacment on a case-by-case basis.
May you kindly provide us links to Flight Power's crash replacement policy and warranty information? We'll be glad to review it and adjust our policy accordingly.
Thanks.
Regards,
Barry H.

So far I have put about 10 cycles on the 6S battery, I run it till the cut off on the HV85, I use Auto Lipo. It charges no problem at 1C and 1.5C and has no noticeable difference in power between my FP 4900 and my TP 5000. I also like not timing the flight and I average 6.5 minutes on the AT pack compared to 5 and 5.5 on the others.
I'll post some FDR graphs in the next few days.

Air Thunder has an Align style balance connector. Barry is obviously very confident of his product if he is willing to match Fligh Powers warranty. I was very pleased when I flew them for the first time.
