I upgraded my mx400 tail to trex blue grips and plastic slider. Also added trex long tail boom and used mx400 long belt. Before I had the z-bend in the second hole from the hs-56 center. The new long control rod came with to ball joints and the ball joint was hitting the block that tightens down on the tail boom , so I moved it to the hole next to the center of the servo. Next with zero degrees on the tail blades and both plastic rod ends screwed way out with a lot of thread showing it still seems short. Has anyone had that problem?

I just bought an MX450 and it came with that same control rod, and its too short, same problem that you have. I just went ahead and bought the boom servo mount, and control arm that align makes and use that, made things so much simpler.

:arggg: My helicopter balances just slightly tail heavy with the way it is now. I'm going to keep it in the frame for now. Just don't know what to do . It is around 4 threads short.
May be with some right thrust it will be close. Wondering if the tail belt is slightly long or maybe the hs56 has a slightly different servo horn location than the futaba's in the manual. I wish there was a way to cut it and place it in a tight tube with allen screws and make an adjustable push rod like I've seen on the some trex's. Maybe I will make an carbon fiber rod like some have done, but I don't know if people are drilling out the horizontal aluminum stabilizer mount to allow the rod to go through it. The thing was all ready final adjustment then this happens. I'm not much into working on them as flying.
