Raptor 50 for Realflight G3 by Svein over on www.RCHeliSpot.com (www.RCHelispot.com) He's given me permission to post it here provided I add all the copyright stuff and disclaimers.

The Raptor 50 is based on Tony Elms freely downloadable Raptor 30 v2 (see: Tony Elms homepage Here (http://www.rfmodels.com/))

Please read the disclaimer and such in the readme.txt file located in the raptor 50 zip file.

Has anyone been able to load the Raptor 50 color scheme? The zip includes one, but I have not been able to figure out how to import/choose it..

Also, on one computer I tried these on, the Raptor 50 can not find the SAB 601 blades or Thunder Tiger 50 motor, even though the files corresponding to these appear in the Planes and Engines folders. I should probably just re-install from scratch.

there's a readme.txt file. IIRC just copy the files over to a specific folder

Thanks. That's what did not work, but I found the problem. The .colorscheme file has a hard-coded filename path in Swedish.. In raptor_texture~Raptor 50 colours.colorscheme, just change c:\programfiler to c:\program files or wherever else you installed RealFlight to..

Please could you explain to a computer dummy excatly step by step to get this to work?

Thankyou Steve

You should have saved the files to the "planes" folder in Realflight, if you haven't, move them there. Once you're in Realflight, select "import file" from the simulation pull-down menu at the top-left of the screen. You will then have to choose file type, select G3X. You should then see a list of the files you have downloaded, select the one you want and click "open". To fly the downloaded model, you have to open the "custom" folder when you go into the "select aircraft" menu. You only have to go the importing process initially, after that, you can choose the model from the "custom" folder anytime you want to fly it.

Hope this helps.

Thankyu everyone. I finally did it. I can't believe it.

Now if the way I am flying it is any asemblance of the real thing, i'm dead.

Can you help with the setup? or something?

Or am I just that bad at flying a heli?

I can't believe it's that difficult to just try a simple hover? The dam thing wants to go all over the place.

But I'm loving it..............thanks for all the help, I could not have done this without your help.
