I have been using the FDR by http://www.eagletreesystems.com/ for a little while now and all I can say is wow. This thing is really awsome for electrics. I am now getting real time info on Motor temp, battery temp, current draw, battery voltage, as well as a lot of other stuff if I want it. I am really amazed at how well it works and how much info it gives.
Anyone else using the FDR? For checking new setups ane equiptment with there high power electrics, the FDR is really an amazing tool.

Eric,
I have been looking at one of those.
It would be great for my camera ship. Good way to keep an eye on battery voltage and motor temps.
Is it easy to read during a "quick look" ?

ah, you may want a buddy helping you :) You could do it if you just put those numbers on the screen and had it mounted to the radio is a good way. When I have been using it, I have been hooking the Seagull into the computer via USB and displaying the results on the laptop screen. It works great. Afterward you can graph the data and see how things where going. You can get some reall acurate #'s of what is going on and the trend of things during the flight. IMO I am very impressed with the results.

Eric,
I have been using the old downloadable system. There is nothing like seeing the info real time. I should have one soon.

I think you will be really happy with it Jimmy. Chris told me how well it worked and now I am a firm believer also. Easy to use and great info.
