If you look through the pics over on RCU on the Toledo coverage, it looks like the Align booth has a shot of the 600N?! The fellow doing the coverage didn't mention anything, and the photo is not great. Any official word from Align on price and availability yet?

Cheers!

Yep, there was a model on hand at the Toledo show. Not sure if it's going to be the one that actually ships though as it was all CF and had a torque tube. Looked pretty darn nice.

there are purportedly two versions shipping: aluminum frames w/ belt drive and CF frame w/ TT.

Incorrect.

There are 4 versions:

CF "Pro" version with Torque Tube. There will be 2 CF models, one of which will come with a rebadged OS .50 Hyper

2 G10 versions with belt drive. The more expensive one of this pair comes with a rebadged OS .50 Hyper.

Align said the release date will be the end of April. So very soon, -not- June.

there will be two versions.

1. aluminum frames, and belt drive, no engine blades, etc. retail somewhere around 400

2. carbon frames with tt, no engine blades, etc. retail somewhere around 600

The kits should be here around the begining of may.

Thats not what it says in the blue prints. G-10 frames instead of aluminum...

not sure then. that's what we've been told from the factory.

I saw the 600N at the Toledo show and asked the guy working the booth about it. He mentioned 2 versions which match the description/prices above.

lol. that was me.

ok, it appears they changed the design to g10 frames for the basic kit. the motors however won't be avaliable in the US for another year or so.

So like.. Why did I bother?

Not sure... I just thought it funny you told the guy that works hand in hand with the guy that is responsible for importing all the Align pieces, parts, and helicopters in to the United States, what the deal is with Align is... that's all. I have an odd sense of humor.

Being at the Toledo show I quickly learned that this business (and it's direction) changes day to day if not minute to minute. For example when the XPS guy put his money down on a booth I am sure he was the only guy with a 2.4 Ghz plug-in radio system. JR and Futaba fixed that.

And how would most of us know King Kong is with Align?

Also, since JR and Futaba aren't shipping yet, nor do they typically sell at these shows, I would imagine the XPS guy sill had a bit of a unique niche, especially if he had product to sell.

Anytthing technology driven these days moves fast. I just had to return 3 AR6100 receivers to Horizon that I never even got out of the package due to a software glitch. Costs me $8.00 to ship, and they may charge shipping back, plus now after waiting months to get the silly receivers, I have to wait another couple of weeks to get them back again. Ain't technology wonderful? LOL

But seriously, the 600E is a fantastic flying heli, I will definately consider an 600N if the prices are reasonable.

Wish I had a chance to meet you guys. Whens that meet in MD?

Cheers!

Cool bro.

King Kong posted -after- I did.

I guess I just have an odd sense of humor about the whole thing myself. I normally find it annoying when I take the time to add a nice informative post (with an f'ing source, man!) and it gets ignored. But I laughed myself to bits on this one.

So.. Why should I bother? You guys running any more of those daddy pants off the press? Looks like I need a pair to slap things into shape around here. :)
