I spooled my E-620 up today for the first time and it was shaking all over the place. I thought it was going to tip over at one point but it didn't. Once it got completely spooled up all was happy and smooth. Did the same upon spool down during the lower RPM range.

600mm Woodies
Red dampers
Green Paddles

I don't get it.

SAB woodies?

 Opps!! sorry I need to change that. I'm running TT 600mm woodies currently but will be switching over to the SAB 620mm in a couple of months. I guess I better go change that in my signature.

Anyone have any ideas about the vibes during spool up? :dontknow

Sounds to me like you have your blades tightened too much in the grips, and the centrifugal force isn't quite enough to open them completely up until the higher RPMs.
Loosen them up so the blades are really easy to move. Then, slowly tighten down until it's just so the blades can't move in the grips when sideways. Then give another 1/4 turn or so on the screw. That's just about tight enough. Prevents the wobble on start up, and during some harder stuff, and tight enough to stop the blades from folding.

Thanks MikeWz but man they were to loose. I tightened them like you said it took most of it away. Still tweeking out the rest.

THANKS!!!

It is normal to have some shake on start-up until they're pulled out enough. Well before hover it should go away though.

Also make sure you lube the dampeners in and out. That will help with future shake problems.

I used Vasaline on them... I think I'm going to switch to the blue dampers and add some Silicone Greese

Be careful use the blue if your doing any 3D. Pick up a set of red, they are much stiffer and you won't have a bobble bird. imo the blue feel a bit too soft even for mild aerobatics.

I don't even flip my heli upside down. I have red in it and run about 1700 to 1800 RPM
