Hi
Still at it with the Sonic - nothing has seemed straight forward - yet.

Can anyone tell me how good the workwood is supposed to fit inside of the fuse on a Vario heli?
I`ve bolted the mech to the finished woodwork and have dry fitted it with the main shaft where it should be.
I have about a 5mm gap either side between the ply and the fuse sides.
Is this normal and does it just get filled with epoxy?
Are you supposed to squeeze the sides in to butt up to the work? - I can`t as it distorts the fuse sides and the canopy.
I also believe that I am not supposed to reduce the two wooden verticals in height to drop every thing further down in the fuse as this could lead me having tail drive shaft alignment issues.

Any ideas?
