I am getting the above heli in a few days from Tower...how difficult/ long is the build? Any things I should know before building/ flying the bird? I have flown the Blade CP Pro to date.

Also, what size wooden blades would be best with stock setup? Where is the best deal online?
Thanks so much.

The assembly is preety much straight forward but a little tedious when installing servos mounting screws. The Helimax manual does a nice job with pictures and text. The english is correct as well.

Just use the factory Helimax wooden blades, they are quite adequate...

dont even waste your time buy a v2 , you will just end up altering the mx with align parts , save your self the time and money , I have two mx's and wish i had gone align out of the gate , the mx is a poor clone of the t-rex sloppy head poor craftsmanship , and the parts are outragously priced , v2 kit is the way to go .

The MX will work just as good as the Trex without all the expense and the crappy align quality. It is also an easier ship to set up for teaching new pilots how to hover .

crappy quality ? what are you talking about the stock mx head is a bind factory with no employees , your telling me you don't have any align parts on your mx ? beginer easy hover buy a cx for that , just look at the cost of mx stock wood blades compared to the align woodies , need a feathering shaft align gives you 4 , for less than the expense of one from helimax , this is the same with all the align parts , your in denial the t-rex train is leaving better get on or get left behind , I have never had any align parts explode on me but i have had a tail hub , tail case , and a blade grip on an mx grenade as well as two other people i know , so take off eah!!!

There are some issues with the MX450 but over all it's a good heli. I wish I had got a trex v2 myself I will admit but I'm having alot of fun with Mx and so far no exploding parts or anything like that after about 30 flights.
The thing I don't get about your post Thorimmortal is, why do you have 2 MX450's? :lolol

I have friends that own a HS and got rooked in with an offer i couldnt refuse , but there is always a but , ive spent enough in align parts to replace both heli's with v2's ,few parts remain main frame's, gears and landing skids , so call them tmx 450's.
