I have heard different people telll me different things when it comes to what length tail blades to run with 600MM main Blades

I have heard people tell me the max length you can run on the tails is 92mm while others tell me it's 95mm.

Others say that your garanteed a tail strike if you use 95mm tail blades yet almost no one makes a stock 92 MM tail blade.

So I would like to ask for opinions on the matter.
Thanks for your time

MAH 92's only had 4 flights on mine sofar, stupid winter, but can tell already they were well worth it. First time i've felt confident about the tail with the R50 in backwards flight.

I use the 92mm for some time now and really like the feel of them. You can get a set of carbon tech tail blades from Ricks, I think that were i got them some where around $20.00 or so.. :)

My opinion - tail strike will not happen with 95mm. Bend, stretch & twist it. They don't come close. I've found that many use 95mm with no problems as I've been asking around for several months. Now I've been using the mavrikk brand 95mm during the past week with no problems on extreme maneuvers. Before I used stock and only found problems in high wind. I'm typically very reluctant to upgrade. Glad I did... the added surface & rigidity on the tail does give it much better authority now.

Yep, I lowered my gain and my tail servo thanked me for it. I really really really want to celebrate Clint's 50th with you all and if work lets me, I'll be there to help blow all them damn candles out ;)

~Jeremy~ I'd love to tell you what brand is my favorite but I've only tried one so far... can't speculate without probably coming back and contradicting myself one day :) ...just try 'em and then try some more... eventually you'll know first hand what the differences are. All I recommend is go cheap to start, that strategy hasn't hurt me yet in this hobby. By the time you have to replace a cheap, broken part, it's probably been crashed a few anyways

Yeah I figured your gain was a little high. What did you have it at like 80 or around there? Mines at 55 and I cant make the tail come out for anything. I can climb until I can barely see the heli and do a tailslide all the way down. Tail doesnt wag or anything and it doesnt blow out. Flies so good! Hey Dan I cant wait to do some more flying with you. Your doing good. I dont know if I will be at Clints though. I havent flown my rig in about two months or more.

It was at 69 & I dropped it to 65. I can still make it blow out but it's only when I try. Let's get some flying in at Clint's here in the next couple months or so. I'm looking forward to it :D
