I have a NIP Gem 2000 for 4.8 and I need to trade it for one that is 6 volt

Hi mongoose you dont need to replace the gem that you have If you take the tape sticker off there is a pot that you can adjust to the desired voltage that you desire for the light to go solid. it is my understanding that the only difference between the 4.8 and the 6.0 volt is the sticker and the adjustment Tom :)

Hey TerbO you were right I had one sitting in the drawer cuz its set for 4.8...I pulled the decal and adjusted it and its working great.I just installed it..Thanks Dude..

Can they be adjusted to 6.8 for Duralite packs ??

Cool, I knew about the pot but didn't know that the sticker was the only difference, so now I can simply adjust the one I already have mounted in the heli instead of replacing it. :clappp

your welcome guys always trying to help where i can. Racer Im not sure what the range is but I would think so. the pot just controls at what voltage the led goes solid. I know that it is ok for 6 volt but you will just have to try it. The guy that was selling them at toledo told me that i could do this to them because i wanted a 6 volt and he was all out of them at the time. see ya Tom :D
