Thats a wire drive tail, it can get backlash and cause some strange behavior when that wire starts unloading.

I think you have to run in nonheading hold (normal mode) so you dont snap the wire :?: I could be wrong though

It will work OK unless you turn the gain up too far. With the gain up too high the wire will tend to twist and cause a rather severe tail wag. Go easy on the gain and it will work.

I would replace the wire with a shaft. Use 4-5 mm carbon rod or arrow shaft. Get help from a friend with machining capability to tailor make/convert the end pieces.
