They have sharper corners and seem to be a little bigger. And I'm sure everyone has already seen the cage they are putting around the motor now. This is a brand new one and it holds great when flipping.

The new tail rotor is nice but it is not a durable. I've had a few crashes and I'm noticing the little white stress bends. The Msr/old tail rotor seams to be stronger.

I just put on the solo pro blade and really like it. I even changed the one on my msr.

I'm trying a new flying technique. I call it, crashless. If it works out I won't have to worry about the thinner rotor. I'll let you know how it goes ;)

I just did new feathering shaft, tail, and blades. It flies like a new heli!!

+1 crash less=break less. Just cause it can take abuse doesn't mean you should put it to the test and try flying too far outside your abilities.

I always want to push it too hard during that last minute of the battery. I end up blowing the tail and crashing. I need to get better at that.

Is the white and black tail rotor the same? The white one is only $1.25.

fwiw..

I did a little head to head testing of the Solo Pro and new E-Flite t/r blade yesterday..Burned 8 packs, 4 on each...While the difference is slight, I'd give the nod to the new E-Flite blade..Seems to hold ever so slightly better than the SoloPro, but this is entirely subjective...Wind was 8-10 mph at Arbor, a bit gusty, so for a test, it was ideal...Can't go wrong with either one...

I ordered a new tail boom just to get the new rotor from Hop-Me-Up on Ebay. It came today and I pulled the blade from the package and just put it on my existing boom since it is not that old. What a big difference on how the heli handles. You move the stick and the tail is a alot more responsive. It is a big improvement. I am sure Horizon will release the blade by it self after they sell off the existing inventory.

Yep. White one glows in the dark too. But they both suit the purpose identically.

I prefer the white for visability.
