I am fixing to buy a gohbee. Probably used but a gohbee anyway. Waiting on the tax return. It can not come quick enough.

If you could change anything, I mean anything about the gohbee what would it be. The price dropping down to $1.00 shipped. Does not count.

I am new also, and would also like some suggestions on what servo to put in the thing. There is a good chance I will be skipping the 30 all together and getting a 50, but anything is possible.

I have been flying a fp heli and I have help from experienced people who I will be seeing this weekend. They are actually going to help me trim it and another exp. heli operator will be flying it before I do. I want to make sure that the problems Ihave with it is not going to be my flying. I have been siming alot also.

So my questions is this:
1 what servo would you use for a noob?
2 what would you change?
3 What parts should I have in my bag that will probably be needed more then others? ie main gear? I have read that there are some problems with them, but I have also read that it is not just the gohbee., all heli have this problem. And besides the normal woodies and tail blades.

Thanks in advance

Servos - it depends if you are going to do just hovering and FF or if you plan on doing 3D.

I love my stinger 50. I would not change a thing. I think people spend too much time picking apart helicopters. Just get one, learn to fly it and enjoy it.

I so far have not had to replace anything on my 50. It definately doesn't hurt to have a crash kit on hand.

IF I knew what I know now (wasnt available),,, Dx7 , Stinger 50 (w/hyper), the digitals that come with the dx7 will do nicely, a 401 with 9254, AND Phoenix sim . Nice little begginner combo. Crash costs of th 50/30 are near identical with woodies. Only upgrade might be the rx pack, prob get 3 flights before recharge, but beside that,,,

I would have put it the air even sooner, had I known what fun I was missing!

For sure go with the Stinger 50, not much more money and it will take you further.

DX7 (Have one on order now myself), 401 with 9254 (Can't go wrong with this combo). I'm using the DX7 servos in mine and they are working great.

When you start wringing it out good, purchase some sort of governor.

No problems with my main gear, Like ddierking stated, pick yourself up a crash kit.

I'm using a 2800 Mah battery pack and can manage 4 or 5 flights.

Thanks alot. I am looking at two right now. I think I just picked up a 9c super with 2 rx. So I think I am going to stick with that radio for now. The guy that is helping me is using a futaba. So that is one reason why I went with that.

thanks

9c's are great radios and very nice to program, thats actually what I use. Also a great idea to get what someone else thats mentoring you has. Definitely on the right road.

The 9c is a great radio! I would fly the Blue Bird 821dmg they are a great servo and have very quick responce and are only 60-70 bucks!
