Jermo,
I just got the flight leader case for my Trex. When I place the heli in the case (left side of heli facing out) there is a big block of foam under the tail rotor. Did you cut out a recess for the tail rotor? I am thinking that it might be better to do some surgery on the foam and make it so the heli goes in the other way (right side facing out) then the tail skid can rest on the foam block and there won't be any pressure on the tail rotor. Any thoughts?

I think I am going to try a Pelican 1650 case.
Downsides.... about 3 times the price and heavier.
Upsides.... roomier (781 x 520 x 295), has wheels and handle, unpenetrable protection if you are actually travelling with a bird.
I am looking to build a case with plenty of room for my 9Z, 2 chargers, 5 batteries, some spare parts, and of course the TREX.
I am also looking for a case that I would be confortable checking with an airlines. I have a long history with Pelican cases.... I've got 7 or 8 grand of Canon camera and lenses that I keep in a Pelican case. You can literally park a car on one of these cases, they are waterproof/dustproof.
So, bulky, heavy, expensive..... but also on wheels, good room, and maximum protection.
(I will be going on cruise to Alaska with a bunch of people I know. They are asking me to bring the heli, and really don't want to dissappoint them. :D Flying from Dallas to Vancouver)
ETA: Should I post a review with photos/video of how things fit, etc? (when/if I get the case)

Guys, we're all about sharing information. If you find other cases please create a new thread and include pictures with links to where we can find them.
It's all about helping each other ;)

Jermo, I was wondering about the difference in weight. I noticed on one website the shipping weight of the Flight Leader is 11 lbs. while the T-Rex case is 6 lbs.
Thank you for your review.

I haven't noticed a difference in the weight of the cases. I'd have to weigh them to tell and it's just not that much for me to worry about. Don't forget that with shipping you get the weights of the cardboard. When I recieved my flight leader case it was in heavy cardboard. When I purchased my align case it was in thin boxing. *shrug*

Wish I seen this before I ordered my Align case.
Just got it, and it IS a hassle trying to get the TREX SE to fit in the box.
