One of our local rc fields had a warbird fly in today, i left drooling lol. Wanted to post some pics. I shoulda posted on other plane forum but there are some foamies in here, damnit! If I woulda known there would be foamies I woulda took my T28D! 1st pic is of a couple friends planes who are in my club, a huge 80 some inch P-47 and a smaller P-51. Never uploaded pics on here so hope it works!

Nice! I can't wait to get my first warbird: an E-Flite Hawker Hurricane 25e, assuming it ever sees the light of day.

Dang it Chris! It was the Fly In by Lake Jacomo!!!! I've got the weekend duty; else I would've gone. I flew fighter escort with my PZ P-51BL for the B-25 in the 3rd pic on your 1st post at the last fly in. Yeah, I took my T-28D last time too! Hopefully there will be one or two more fly ins before the winter. I'll definately go! Shoot me a PM if you hear anything and I'll do the same.

Definately will shoot a pm if I hear of another before winter. That B-25 was AWESOME! The guy who flies it is a hoot to lol, talked with him for a bit cause he knows 1 of the guys I went with. That scratch built T-28 in background was equally awesome, like I said I left drooling on myself. Seriously thinking of trying out a nitro, just depends, need to sell my Apprentice to get a battery box setup and carrier for the plane lol.

If you decide to part with that Apprentice let me know, I got an 11 year old that is flying a Champ and moving on to my UM T-28, we buddy boxed on the full size PZ T-28D, but he is still a bit hesitant and lacks confidence so he flies for only 20 seconds at a time. RP

It is a great plane for sure for building confidence, and once you have that it makes a big difference. The Apprentice to me is almost un crashable unless I am doing something to dumb pushing it's limits, like low inverted fly by's at full throttle like I was doing earlier lol. If your up in the air with a little bit of altitude you can get out of any trouble in my opinion anyway and with a trainer cord the boy will do fine I'm sure. PM me if you wanna know anything about it or exchange #'s, cuz it's defineately going soon regardless if I try a nitro or a balsa frame electric. I have just out grown the plane really even though I still have a blast flying it, thats just it, each flight I push it more to it's limits and eventually it will end up bad lol. Just lemme know cuz I will prolly end up putting it on the sale forum here and craigs list, but will hold off if your interested.

You've GOT to own at least one glow plane! I own the Hangar 9 .40 Mustang. I purchased the RTF PTS Mk II so I could have the DX6i as a spare. I added flaps and a 2 bladed prop. It flies like a Cadillac drives! I can get 15 minutes on a tank! :wow2: The only problem with a glow plane is it will want a friend!
Yeah, when I was there, there was another B-25. They did some amazing formation flying. That T-28 was right next to me on the flightline. It really dwarfed my PZ T-28D.
