I always had sticking in the collective of my Raptor 50, and I tracked it down to the washout assem.
Anyone know a way to make this smoother, I heard that you need shims on the washout arms but the arms seem to track smooth to the swashplate. Also unhooking the washout from the swashplate, the washout still does not seem to move well.
Should I spend the money on the metal washout assem?

The metal washout base is all you really need but you need to figure out where its hanging up.
Could be it just needs a drop of oil, could be the radius pins from the head are sqeezed together a bit or misaligned as well. Built stock the washout will work but it gets sloppy after a while from sliding on the main shaft.

The washout assm just feel like it is too small for the mainshaft. I will look at it again. This is the only item I was not able to clear up with my Raptor...

I fixed the binding on the washout assm. I had to add a small washer to both washout arm screws, binding went away...

Ah yep, the arms have washers between the bearing and the washout.

I have the raptor 50v2 and the washers are not called for in the manual. I just saw this in another site and tried it. I do not know if this step was added to the Titan.

Another update.
I did buy the metal washout assm and the parts in the washout assm have washers included. Imagine that.... :arggg:
I've used raptortechnique.com before, he is very helpful. I met Micheal at Ircha 06 and he's just as friendly in person as if you send him a email for help. Thanx's everybody.
P.S. I will not change to the metal washout until next crash time, nock on wood  .
