Ok so I am thinking of getting a JR 50 size heli.Which one is the best in your opinion? I really like the looks of the Voyager and the whole heli itself, but not sure how it flies or parts availability. To me the Venture looks cheesy. What I want to know is how well each of these do 3d? Opinions everyone? If neither of these are good I am just gonna get a Sceado Evo 50, so talk to me guys! LOL

I'd definatly get the Sylphide 50! Or the the Airskipper 50 which is coming out in january. These would be my first two choices!

the voyager is gone last i checked. the sylphide 50 is pricey. air skipper has carbon frams looks good but have to wait till january. at this time i would go with evo. it is not as nice as the voyager but at least you can still get it. :D

I have both JR helis in my hobby shop. THats the thng, i dont think I will ever sell the Voyager, so why not put it together and fly it you know.. SO if you could get it, which I can, which one is the one to get? On the JR site, the airskipper is a 30 and the sylphide is a 50. Will these come to the states, or will they be just be available on the other side of the ocean?

the voyager is a great machine and they say the will have good part support for a long time. i have a voyager 50 and it is a very stable heli and IMHO it is superior to the evo. things i have changed 10 tooth for 8.8 gear ratio. shorter flybar and good light paddles. keep a eye on the tail pitch slider it has a plastic ball and is know to break. the bolt that holds on the slider is a 1mm bolt and breaks also. the ksj dual point tail pich slider gets you away from these problems. this is not nessesary as i ran 7 cases of fuel threw mine before it started to be a problem. i hope this helps. :D

I agree the Voyager is awesome. I'd not hesitate to get one again. I won at a contest and bought another one because I like it so much. The EVO is nice but can be pitchy. I finally experienced it last weekend flying in 20-30 mph winds. The Voyager doesn't.

My EVO doesn't get flown so much since I got the Voyager together. Next bird for me is a Vigor CS. Am looking for a god used one now.

I love my Voyager. It handles everything I can throw at it. I have put more than 200 flights on it this year with no maintenance needed (other than checking it out). I just planted it straight in at between 75-100mph and there is surprising little damage to it. It will only cost around $200 (including blades) to repair it.
I like my Voyager so much I bought a Vigor to go with it. :D

Yeah, I had a pretty nasty little meeting with the ground a while back. The tail went in first and then the blades, at full throttle.

Absolutley no damage to the frames. Bent tail output shaft, boom strike, bent main shaft, spindle, and flybar. Just the usual things plus a tail shaft because it went in first.

I am about to complete a maintenance rebuild with all metal head upgrade, gyro sensor shelf, Muscle Pipe 2, Special CCPM servo arms. If only RCHelisPlus would get some of this stuff in stock and send it already!

Without a doubt, the Voyager 50 is the way to go. Solid aircraft that can be set up for the beginner or the expert alike. Kits are still available and, according to JR, parts support will be ongoing for the forseeable future. Well, and slightly over-powered with the OS-50. My first aircraft and will probably be with me until I stop flying. I understand the Sylphide and Airskipper are both good aircraft, but kinda' "high end." The Sylphide (my understanding) was the JR replacement for the IMZ 50 (BTW, the ONLY aircraft I have owned that I would take over the Voyager in a nitro heli). Not familiar with the Airskipper. Both are well over the Voyager in pricing and, since neither will be marketed in the US, parts support will be "iffy," although, knowing JR's compatibility, "somce" parts will "cross lines" between the Voyager, Sylphide, Venture 50 and Airskipper.

Bottom line....I would buy the Voyager 50.

the airskipper has been available overseas for a while now, i have been reasearching it quite a bit while awaiting horizon to release them, there are quite a few people overseas that have them ans i have heard nothing bad about them other than the tail end being a little heavy...EVERY one of then has said the extra cost is worth every penny, not too many out there coming with push/pull linkage all the way around, i also called heliproz and they said it is a better value than a rappy in the same size...that says alot coming from a company who's bulk of their business is rappys
