I just installed the Kora 15-14 on my 4S setup. I previously had a hyperion 10 turn which had burned out (but was a good motor). I flew once on the new setup with the 24T pinion and was running about 95% throttle in Idle. HS was around 2700 but the power didn't seem to be there and seemed to bog pretty easily.
Would going to a 26T pinion give me more power at a higher headspeed. I want to be able to maintain the headspeed, not a lot of bogging. Any suggestions?
You need to go down to 23T to reduce the load on the motor
in the hope to prevent the bogging
but your headspeed will also go down
(26T will make your problems worse)
I had a Hyperion 3025-10 on 4S and 24T - that setup works good.
I switched to Kora 15-14 and 23T - it works fine and I am not bogging
But it does not quite have the punch of the Hyperion on 24T
I am thinking about trying 24T to get the headspeed up a bit higher
What ESC are you using?
95% throttle is too high in govenor mode on the Jazz

I'm using the Align 75A ESC. I was using it with the Hyperion 3025-10 with a 24T pinion and at 85%.
At the moment I'm not impressed with the Kora's performance. Maybe I'll try the 23T pinion. We'll see.

Is the kora 14 not more suited for 5s? Maybe the 12 would be a better fit for 4s. I was thinking about buying one, but I want to get 2900-3000 rpm.

If you need pinions for the Lepton check out ReadyHeli.com
They have RevCo .6M pinions for the Lepton from 18T to 23T in stock

I'm going to try to send my motor back to hyperion but I may have to just bite the bullet and get a new one if they don't cover it under warranty. It was working well for me and I really liked it's performance.

You will get that easely with the 15-12 and 23-24T. The heli is then a monster (4S). I had 2800 with 72% on the Jazz and 3000 at 85%. I'm using it with a 21T to calm it down. I'm around 2500 rpm with it.

The 15-16 is more suited to 5S
The 15-12 KV could work on 4 or 5 cell
but you would need to find the best gearing (pinion)
as the 23T and 24T wont be any good
