Hi. I am battling with my mini titan... initially had bad tail wag.... so i swapped out the tail servo m(himark metal gear) and gyro (telebee), for better options.

Now have a Hitec HS-65 carbonite gear servo and CSM 420 micro Gyro....

My tail wag is completely gone in normal mode, but in Headinghold mode, its really bad..
In normal mode I can fly on 60% gain.... in HH mode it still wags on about 40% gain..... but its flyable.... sort of...

I also moved the servo ballink to the closest position to the servo... it was in the middle.... still have wag... I lubricated the shaft..... still....

No I know its not a digital servo on teh tail, but i've seen lots of guys flying normal cyclic servo's on the tail with good results.. I don't want 3D performance, just a bird that can keep its tail still in HH mode...

Its funny that its only in headinghold mode.....

One trick that helped me get a JR500T gyro to settle down was to dial in more expo in the tail rotor channel. I don't know what radio you are using and have no experience with your gyro, but it's worth a try.

I generally run 20 percent in my helis, but it took 40 percent in the JR equipped heli. This seems to soften the "kick" you sometimes get with the HH gyro.

Another check area is your linkage. If there is any stiffness or dragging, the gyro will be constantly fighting to correct itself.

Hope this helps,

Ron

Hmm , I have a Optic 6 Hitec...

What should I make my exponential..i'm sure its still default? I did not set anything there....

By the way, on my Optic 6, my gear chennel travels from 0-100 on each position....
Position 1 is HH, position 2 is Normal Mode.

The csm manual says above 50% is HH, and under is NM. Does my 100% on one switch position represent 50% of the whole channel?

Both switch positions are posetive, so will lets say 60% gain in one, be 60% gain in the other, or will the one be 60% and the other 40% ... as in 100% - 60% = setting of 40%?

OK, I tested a JR 810 digital servo....
Works Woa!!!
Even at 100% gain..its amazing!!!!! absolutley NO wag, nothing!
Does this mean I HAVE to go digital? Or can I get a quicker normal servo?
