Has any one here tried a cellpro revolution Lipo pack by FMA.

Please provide inputs as I am thinking to buy one and try it.

I was thinking the same thing. I use the cheap hextroniks batteries and I'm ok. I'd like to use some better branded cells to compare with. Stay tuned ;)

FMA jumped out of the lipo market about 6 months ago. They claimed it was not profitable selling 2150mah lipos for $85 :badair:

They have now re entered the market with low cost cells (chinese ?). I think they should make up there minds if they want to sell lipos or not. I'm confused.

The plus side is that the new lipos are cheap and they come with a cellpro charge/balance tap preinstalled. I might have to order a couple to try out. They are 25 grams lighter than the Cellpro 2150mah(Enerland cell). Only 18C though.

$47 for the packs I would fly with vs almost $80 for the major brands.. If I need packs when I get my T-Rex 500 I might try a few.

I have been burnt trying out cheap lipos that i am not sure if FMA lipos are up to the FP and TP quality.

I think FMA lipos are supplied by Kokam. No harm in trying one out.

I might try Airthunder lipos though, looking at the performance posted by fellow fliers.

All of the "N" series packs are Saehan cells, I believe these are the same as Thunder Power.

So do you recommend trying out FMA N pack?

I will be trying them as soon as I have the cash and T-Rex 500 in hand. So to answer your question. yes.
The discharge curves look good and I have what I consider to be the best 4s balancing charger to take care of the packs.
What I'm interested in is power and cycles. How many cycles can I get from the packs without problems?

I'm using generic packs right now (hextronik) and after 70 cycles on my first pair I've sent one pack back for puffing/loss of power. It's mated pack seems to be fine. I have 4 newer packs of the same flavor doing the same type of flying so we'll see.

Personally I think the way to eval packs is over 100 uses or more and with multiple packs.

Too bad I can't find a job that will pay me to fly and evaluate this stuff 100% of the time at the pay rate I'm at hehe..
