I'm looking to get a balancer, I have a Multiplex Charger LN-5014 and Hobbico Quick Field Charger MKII now, what would be a good Balancer?

The Flightpower v-balancer works great. It will cut off the charge to the pack if something is wrong with the pack as well as balance the pack. It also has a gauge to see how full the pack is while it is charging.

I looked at the V Bal. today, I like it but the connectors are smaller than the eflite connectors. The store manager couldn't find out if there is a adapter. What would I need to make it work? The connector is the same as used on Flight Power battery's, (small black) where the eflite are larger pins and white connector.

Not sure if these will work or not but take a look.

Take a look at the e-Station balancers.

First, almost all major lipo brands are support via adapter boards that interface between the battery and the PB-6. Each board will do 2S to 6S packs. 1 board of your choice is included with the balancer. Others can be purchased.

Currently, adapter boards are available Thunderpower/Flightpower, Kokam, Align, and Polyquest. The only connector not supported is the FMA CellPro. Most manufacturers use one of the above adapters. For example, the Align adapter also works on E-Flite, Electrifly, Dualsky, 3e Models, RC Models, Hurricane Flight Systems, ect.

2 PB-6's can be linked to balance a 12S pack. The PB-6 balances the cells at a 500 mah rate which is the highest discharge rate in any balancer. The higher discharge rates are needed especially when balancing 2100 or higher cells. For example, if you are running a 4S 5000 lipo charging at 1C (5 amps), balancers that discharge at a low rate like 100-200 mah as most do, will not have a whole lot of effect until the CV portion of the charge begins when the charge rate starts to taper off.

Here is an example of 2 PB-6's linked together.
