just installed mircoheli autorototion shaft and hub and cnc head #
cp002hs3. now when i lift off it spins round and round cant control it
checked both tail motors both seem to run fine. help?
did i do something wrong?
i did have to reverce the motor wire beacause hub on one way brg. was turning the wrong way.

i'd think you might try reversing the tail motor.

nope tail motor turning anti clock wise like manual said
but can a tail rotor still run but be weak? tail rotor spins but as some as i get off ground heli goes round and round.

can you elaborate alittle more, which way is the heli spinning? CW or CCW? how fast is it spinning? uber fast or slowly? which way is ur main rotor spinning? it should be spinning CW. if you had to reverse ur main motor, i think you better check out whats rong. and you have dual tail right? shouldn't lack tail authority at all.

heli is spin counter clock wise --spinning very fast i can holt the tail untill it breaks ground and then it just starts to rotate. main rotors spin clock wise and tail rotor
turn counterclock wise. i took tail blades off to see if both motors are running.
and the were. im at a lost with the g90 gyro and the twin tail motors it use to sit
very still in the air.

oh, make sure you don't have the gyro reversed if both of ur tail motors are good.

Put the heli on the ground and get it to just start spinning, just a little throttle. Now push the rudder stick all the way to the right. Does the tail motor speed up? If it doesn't then will it spin when you give left rudder? IF it spins when you give it left rudder then I would say flick the reverse switch on the gyro.
One more thing. Make sure you are in Heading Hold mode.

ok if i move stick left --nothing
if i move stick to right motor speeds up and tail moves to left as viewed from behind. heading hold all the way to the plus side in heading hold
also i cant figure out what i changed the only think i unpluger use the tail rotor wires and the main motor wire from the receiver with all the stock parts on the heli it only needed just a little left stick to hold the tail still

no, give it alittle throttle, manually (with ur hand) move the tail to the right (heli CCW), you should hear the tail speeding up. if it's slowing down/stopping, your gyro's reversed.

i tryed that as per the manul it does speed up when you twist the nose to the left. i do have two tail motors i think that one is week maybe?
when i give it more throttle and the rotors spin up you can hear the tail motors slow down. if it is the tail motors is it better to go to a dd tail drive
or stick with the two tail motors?

are you using the stock radio? cuz this doesn't sound right.

yup stock radio got from my kids at xmas

unplug main motor, move throttle up, see if your tail is speeding up or slowing down, if it's slowing down, you've got a real serious problem.

wait, you do have a hh gyro, that won't work. please verify the following:
main motor spinning clockwise,
tail motor spinning counter clockwise up toward the mains,
gyro compensation is correct,
you've turned down ur proportion mix in ur 3 in 1.
you are indeed in hh mode without tail wag.
rudder trim is centered.
and also, i want to verify that the heli is spinning 'very fast'? once after lift off? or is it a slow drift? and the drift is CCW.

If your electronics arent fried (well even if they are ) go to a DD tail. Better than stock and dual tail motors IMHO. Do you have the rudder reversed on the TX? Just a guess.

if i unplug the motor from esc and give full throttle tail motor wont even come on if i unplug motor from receiver and give full throttle motor wont come on.

ok buzzkill what could i have fried also what is the best dd to go to?
ok chopperdudes hope beetween you and buzzkill we can get this fixed.
if i have to order parts i would like to do asap--parts take about 7-10 days to get
hear. snow is going sort of fast, can fly outside in two weeks.

ok rotors spinning clockwise tail rotor counterclockwise proportion turned down in hh mode rudder trim centered lift off then spins ccw very fast
no ammount of left stick will hold it

Your tail motor is nearly dead. Either that or the 3 in 1 is going out. Is the tail rotor blade in the holes on the gear? Make sure it isn't slipping.

just for the heck of it, try reversing the gyro. it's not likely for dual to go out that bad. they'll already've burnt out if it's spinning like that. either that or you got some serious electronic problems.

$40 for 2 of 'em?!?! you craaaazzzy?
oh well, anyways, good to hear you got it sorted out. luckily it wasn't any electronic failure, have to say, never seen a dual tail go like that, oh right, remember that you should change BOTH of the motors when changing them, you don't want one old and one new, the old one will drag the new one to it's death.

yup 40.00 what was going to to lhs over six hour drive away
i changed both the one on there were only 3 months old
is this about right or do i switch to dd tail?

ive been very pleased with my dd tail set up, i use the gws edp 50xc motor with 3020 press on prop. been using it for a few weeks or alittle over a month now, with no problems what so ever. bphobbies.com sells it for 10.77 for the motor and 2 3020 props. i had to enlarg the hole where the motor shaft goes through on the stock tail motor mount for it to seat the motor correctly. the screws to mount the motor are from a blade cx hardware kit.
i had dual tail motors for about 2 weeks. the weight needed to counter the tail was crazy. almost 10 lead weights on the front. if you want to stop fighting the tail when your flying either brushless tail or dd and a g90. flying will be alot easyer.
sorry for the long post just wanted to add my 2cents. also the stock tail motor heatsinks fit the 50xc motor almost perfectly. i use 2 and my tail motor and it barely gets warm after 10 minutes outside in the wind.
