I'm trying to decide on a battery for my Raptor E-620. It has a Phoenix 85HV esc & Z-Power Z50A-800 (780kv) I was using a 6s 5000mah and my flight times were 7 minutes of very easy flying.

I fly sport with no 3D. I'm wanting long flight times, 10-15 minutes would be nice. I was thinking about the following battery combinations...

FlightPower 5350mAH 5s1p F3A (Matched Pair) Evolution 17c-50c (1150g) wired to make a 10s 5350mah setup.

or

2x FlightPower 7400mAH 4s2p Evolution 20c - 30c (1474g) wired to make a 8s 7400mah setup.

or

4x FlightPower 3700mAH 4s1p Evolution 20c - 30c (1400g) wired to make a 8s 7400mah setup. If I went this rout I could use the packs in other smaller helis.

I'm open to other suggestions or input.

Thank you for your time,

Jeremy

Without changing the motor or gearing you may not be able to change to a higher voltage pack.
Also those are some pretty heavy packs. Adding weight may not result in a large gain in flight time and cause extra heat buildup in you motor, esc and packs.

You also have to look at the specs on that motor. Will it run on 10s?

Might get better answers from the TT guys in the e-630 forum section.

It will without doubt run on 10s. Lots of people do this on that motor. I would have to run a 9 tooth with 10s. I'm currently using a 13 tooth.
