What kind of flight times are you getting on your E-620?
I'm getting 7 minutes of hovering
6s 5000mah Flightpower battery
13 tooth pinion
Phoenix 85HV
Z-Power Z50A-800(780kv)
Putting back 3800mah

That is why I am going 10S... The e-620 is heavier than a Trex600 and I only get 5 minutes on the 600...

I was sad when I found out my flight times are going to be so short.... the hard way. I already sold my 6s 5000mah packs and now am going 8s or 10s. Trying to find the best flight times. Any ideas?

What headspeed are you running for you style of flying ?
Bob, you think that 7oz makes that much difference in flight time ?

I just hover and fly circles... nothing fancy. Around 1750-1850.

4 to 7 minutes.. :( That's enough to discourage the eventual purchase of such bird :!:
I was hopping to see people using A123 big way and getting very long flying times..
Apparently that's not the case :?:

My E550 weighs 25g less than my Trex 600, both with a TP5000 pack fitted. I'm running the TT motor and ESC (Z30-1100) with an 11T pinion fitted but a throttle curve around 85-75-85 to give a headspeed around 2000rpm. I've played around with blades a bit and currently use NHP Razor Pro 550 blades which are a very low drag blade and give the longest flights although auto performance is marginal. My timer is currently set for 7 minutes and I usually put back around 3800mah back into the pack.

I saw an E620 fly at the local RC airshow this weekend and the flight time seemed to be comparable to what I get out of my Trex. If I had to guess i'd say he flew for 7 minutes and was running a FP 10S which I believe was said to have a 2000rpm headspeed.

I went to a EVO 25 10s 5000mah setup. It's freaking awesome! My flight times are 14 minutes hovering and 10-12 minute sport flying!!! Its more than I could ask for and am VERY happy thus far with the E-620. :D

Hyper good..
I think I'm going to spend $355 for this bird on the weekend
$120 for the Z50A-800..
$196 for the HV85A
So roughly $671 and $45 freight for the bird before CSM SL720 gyros, Cyclock 1 mixer.
Servos / Radio /Battery
I'll have to wait next month
:arggg:
