I've been reading through the governor threads here, and it seems like airplane mode is recommended when using CC or Align ESCs. I haven't found any specific advices for the HobbyWing 120HV and HobbyWing 80.

Should I use airplane mode on those, too? I'm currently using helicopter mode. It works better than the CC internal gov, but perhaps it's not optimal still?

Hi
I'm using an Hobbywing 60 + mini VBar governor on a Compass Atom
ESC setup is stock one, only with super soft start activated.

Just leave the hobbywing governor disabled so that the VBar governor can control the ESC.
That is all Airplane mode does on the other ESCs

+1 I'm using everything default with the exception of "very soft" start and "12S Lipo" (instead of autodetect) on my 600pro with the vBar gov (70HV). It's been working great!

From what I have read, you need it in airplane mode if your using the bailout feature, otherwise you can leave it in heli mode.

Old thread. But same problem. I have mini vbar and align esc 35A. Have very low HS on heli mode. Testing now with airplane mode. HS is higher maybee what i have put in vstabi. Tomorrow test flight. I donīt get the gov activ on vstabi. HS are not changing in different flightmodes.
