Just put a e-flite park 400 4200kv in my CPP ( ya I know I said I was done but it was talking to me ) it was just whatthe doctor ordered for my 400g+ CPP.

I'm a noob so keep that in mind.

The park 400 is the same size as the 370 only taller. About 1/2". Doesn't interfere with swash movement. I believe the the 400 is about 10g heavier than the 300. I'll have to check on that. I used the 4200 Kv 400 with a 9T pinion. Power with the 400 vs. 370 is like 370 vs. stock motor only better.

I don't do 3D stuff but I can tell you my CPP, from stock to BL (370) has never had this much power. I ran 6 packs through it tonight (2 on the 370 before installing the 400) and my temps never got over 115F. BL DD tail hold as good or better than with the 370. Slap the throttle and you would not believe how fast my CPP shoots up. Two seconds (thats a guess) and I'm at 100'.

It is as responsive as a stock CPP (doesn't feel piggy anymore) and I just cant get over how this 400 has changed my little bird. 9T gives it just the right head speed if you ask me. Best upgrade I have IMHO. No its not a Trex but switch to idle up and start popping. Ever seen a better bird do that snappy up and down stuff? Quick pops on the collective making it yo-yo in high speed? Ya, the 400 will do that. Impressed the hell outta me.

I have a buddy that works at a LHS who owns a CPP. He hasn't went BL yet. I called him and suggested he skips the 370 and goes with the 400. He knows how many mod's I've done to my CPP and how much experimenting. He got his last 400, 2 ESCs and a BL tail motor without even seeing it fly with the 400. I'm taking it down after work to let him what it will do first hand.

Rstacy, Dog, GinoCP,Funkey,Rebuild and lots of other people here on Helifreak could give you a better unbiased opinion of going with the 400 instead of the 370 but, I'm my noob opinion this thing kicks ass. I bought a plank to stick my 370 in as it will never see my CPP again (unless I burn up the 400 LOL ).

I have attached two pics. One of just the installed 400 and one of the 370 beside the 400 for size comparison. Sorry I don't have a video cam so you can see it fly.

nice, you should slap another heat sink on there even if it doesnt have a need for one. it will look better.

What do you guys think about this one, same motor as the park 400 right?

I'd probably just go with a 370 5400kv if I wanted more headspeed... there doesn't seem to be much clearance with the 400.

I havent had a clearance issue yet with mine. Maybe in the future?

Keep us posted. ;-)

My Blade has been on the shelf waiting on a 10 tooth gear, and a rebuild.
