I'm sad because their are hardly any people to chat with about the e-620. It's a great heli but gets a bad rap due to it's 7oz heavier than the TRex 600 and 90 degree swash. Such a minute detail considering it's smooth stable flight characteristics and great 3D performance at high head speeds.
I wish their was someone out their to share the joy with.... Instead all I get to hear is "Damn thing is heavy!!" and "What a lousy swash system!!".
Why don't I get to hear... "That heli flies smooth!!" or "Stable!" or "Man parts are cheap and everywhere!" or "Gosh that's easy to build and work on!"
We get so caught-up with the negatives that we often forget the days of no gyros... fixed pitched can't even hover it helis. I remember those sh%ty Crickets and Mantis helis. I feel we have forgotten our past.. :bawl

It's a wonderful flying heli!! No doubt about it.

I am very happy with my home built conversion. It's smooth and flies great.
I also remember the days of yore with my Mantis, Cricket, and Heli-Boy. Times have changed and so have model helicopters. :noteworthy
I agree with those who say Thunder Tiger has lost a little of their edge because they were late to the electric party. All of their electric helis seem to work well but are facing a big uphill battle to gain any market share around here. Align has a decent product and the parts are less expensive. Only time will tell if TT can come back.

Just got my CC ESC today, the Z-Power motor was here last week. Hope to have a set of batteries next week so I can get to test it out...will let you know if my experience then matches yours ;)

Imo that's not the case with the MiniTitan.
That's a complete new design, and looking at the way it flies(as a newbie  but i can fly it! ) and looking at the way it's constructed/manufactured (not as a newb ;) ) it looks very promising.
And i can't believe they stop designing now.
Most of the E-helis they have now are conversions as far as i can see.
Pretty simple said, it's to cut on production costs imo (prototypes, moulds and tools are expensive!).
hope they are in the middle of developing a good 2x 3s1 500E -class heli out of their E325 findings to surprise everyone.

I hope so too. That's the next size heli I'm after.

I'm just about to purchase an e620 for exactly the reasons some are turned off.
It is a little heavier and has a stable flight chararistics. Exactly what I am looking for. I know some like lighter, but getting around the field is my main goal and going upside down on purpose is for a future bird.
I just posted a new thread looking for suggestions on a "Shopping List" for the e620, since I am new to the electric side of the fence. I'm used to nicads. lo-po @ 200 + a pack is a shocker, not to mention need to understand how everything is hooked up considering the voltage, etc..

My E550 is frequently upside down and does it very well, thank you!
In the UK the E550/620's were launched last year but the TT motors and ESC's have only been available for around a month now, this has really affected sales. I also think the fact that they are basically mildly warmed over R30/50's has had a bearing too plus the fact that TT spares are around double the cost of the equivalent Trex 600 items.
I bought my E550 as a set of mechanics for a scale heli but performance is much better than I expected, although I fitted a Kasama head right from the original build. Although it only weighs about 25g less than my Trex 600 its performance in the air belies this, vertical performance is pretty good and I'm getting around 7 minute flights on a 5000 pack, my Trex 600 using the same packs and flying in the same style only gets 5.5 minutes.
My Mini Titan was an impulse buy but since building and flying it my Trex 450SE has stopped at home, the MT is a great piece of design which flys much better than its price tag would suggest. I do feel that if TT produce a larger heli based on the MT's design, maybe up to E550/620 size, it would be a better seller, the head design is new and works very well, the original Raptor head is really showing its age now.

I second this
By adding some bits and a lower frame (www.tppacks.com/products.asp?cat=17) to use A123 battery packs becomes a very interesting bird.
Beside $355 from infinity-hobby for the E620 is not over the top
Hope it will be stable and powerful (heavy lifting job to do)
