Guys,
I have a new OS91SZ with Cline modded carb. I have run 15 tanks through it and at TDC there is noticeable play - almost a 'clunk' - when turning the crank back & forward by hand 1mm or so. It is also noticeable throughout the stroke, but is most obvious at TDC.
I have stripped the motor down, (while I had the heli apart for other repairs!) and bearings are fine, but I can't work out where this play is coming from.
It's not side to side crankshaft play, it's almost like the conrod has endfloat or is sliding front to back on the gudgeon pin.
The Piston, ring and liner are't damaged at all.
Does this make sense? Is this normal?
Cheers from New Zealand!
