Am I reading this wrong or does the 12FG support FM/PCM?

From what I have been told. Your reading it correctly. The 12FG is a module type radio. So it can use 72mhz or other band module also.

The reason I ask is the "floppy" antenna. I would guess the PCM module would come with a metal one?? :dontknow

Dog,
Not sure, but I am just guessing the 2.4 ghz antenna screws in to the base. If that is the case, then antennas would be easy to swap around. Like I said it is just a guess from looking at the pictures.
One of things I know. It is not possible to swap model files between the 12FG and the 12Z or 14MZ.

They altered the model files?

I don't know what they did. Was just informed that files from the 12Z/14MZ could not be loaded into the 12FG. Can not take the model files from the 12Z/14MZ and load them onto the 12FG SD card. The 12FG will not be able to use those files.

I also bet the 14MZ/12MZ will need a code change to support 2.4 int he menu because you wont be using 72 freq's in the menu system....
Maybe thats why you cant pass them to a FG e.g. the FG has no 72 menus? Just a guess?

I cant wait to get my modules and RX's that is for sure!

Umm maybe I should just hunt down a 12Z now and use a module later. :thinking

Might be the best since the FG looks a little defeatured compared to a 12Z......

Well from what I have been told. The 12FG will do 2.4 ghz, 72 mhz, 50mhz, 35 mhz, 40 mhz etc. etc. So I don't think that is the reason that the files from the 12Z/14MZ can't be transferred to it. There is already 12FG's being used on 72 and 40 mhz.
From what I understand the 2.4 ghz modules for the 12Z/14MZ will be plug and play. No software change.
Different band modules can be changed on the 12Z/14MZ now without any software change. I have went from 72 mhz to 50 mhz and back without any problem on 12Z. The radio recognizes which module is plugged into it now. At least that has been my experience.

I like the statement Radio has less than 3 hours in the air. I have not seen a transmitter fly yet, except when the owners throws it. LOL
Always wondered what difference time made on transmitter.
