This series will present answers to help our heli community grow and have fun. It's a chance for the pro's to give a little bit more back to the communities newest and future members.

As I get questions/ideas and opportunity I'll be getting some of the hot pilots out there to answer questions and give their opinions. Hopefully we can get folks in different areas to contribute video for future editions.

If you have questions you'd like answered feel free to post on this thread or PM them directly to me.

Volume 1 - Henry Caldwell, H to the C - 32 megs - Windows format (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=DebianDog&filename=Nuggets1_HC_Apr07.wmv)

Volume 2 - Bert Kammerer tells you what you need to learn to become a pro (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=DebianDog&filename=BertK_PP.wmv)

Great idea, well done Jermo!

It might be an idea to get them to demonstrate what they are talking about, and then add the ripping 3D flight afterwards.

I can already think of at least one person that could do with taking some of that info to heart.

When's volume 2? :D

I think most of us new folks can take alot of what H to the C said to heart. I know it spoke to me personally.

Volume 2 ..I guess as soon as I have a question pool I can look towards the next one.

What the guy said on Volume 1 is so true. I didn't know this hobby was soooo expensive. I just think of it like crack cocaine (and that that isn't a good thing) it's so addicting that i sell everything that isnt bolted down on ebay to support my heli high!!! I guess I really am a heli freaker... :glasses2:

Stuff about where to fly, general preflight?

I'd like to see someone talking about nitro tuning, how to read the noises your engine makes, what idle should be like, checking the engine backplate temp, but that's just me.

what's a nitro ? :dontknow
hehe...just kidding....

Who's the hottest nitro guy(s) or gal(s) locally on the east/west coast? I'm sure we can get these answered.

Who would you like to see on video?

When the "Charmed Chick" learns how to fly helicopters... no problem ;)

Very cool new forum Jermo. Thanks.
Would love to hear from any of the hot heli pilots. The established "Pro's" and also the up and coming Hot Shoes.
Questions about why they fly the birds they fly. Who they look up to. Trends.
How about Pro's "Tips and Tricks" for flying or heli setup.
Keep up the excellent work and thanks for all your help in the past.
Mike.

How about asking torkboy2 how he's progressed so fast? Everytime I see him fly on video or in person, I'm amazed how far he's come since I 1st saw him fly 10 months ago.

Interesting. I thought you guys were going to add this to another video, didn't know you guys had this "Nuggets From the Pro's Series" thing in mind. I would have expanded and talked about other things as well.

I agree with Rogan, maybe a little bit more info about the setup, why we fly the models we fly, some flying action as well, etc.

For the record and out of courtesy to my new sponsor, I'd like to clarify that I am no longer sponsored by Miniature Aircraft. I was at the time the video was taped. However, I do not fly for MA any more. Please do not ask why because I am not going to discuss the reasons why I left MA in a public forum. However, all I can say is that MA is a great company with a superior product and a bright future. I appreciate all the help they gave me and look forward to their growth; I am close friends with most of the MA pilots and will continue to be.

What happened to this? Is this an ongoing project posted in another area or still gathering stuff for the next version?

Thanks...

Is it just me or does Henry always appear to be on the verge of piling it in ;) ... does he crash a lot? No offense man, the style is very entertaining :)...

Also Bert you really seem to be a personable / approachable guy and I really respect that quality in a pro level pilot. I saw you put down some really awesome stuff at the BtB last year, really fun to watch in person. Think you might come out to the phoenix fun fly this year ? :)

This came up as an idea when I attended a fun fly and had some experienced pilots around me. I would expect as flying season approaches we could get video's or at least segment donations. I'd be happy to do editing and such. I definately plan to have my camera with me and get more nuggets. I've not flown much since the onset of winter. New job and all.
